The L' Arsenal kit in 1/400 is very clean and nicely cast , but it does lack quite a few prominent details of a Flower class vessel , such as the prominent hull plating for a start, and the instructions are  hard work unless you speak French.This is going to be built as the HMS Campanula .

Another Bismarck finished.

My first figure so far.I tried to create some highlights and some shadows , and i find the whole thing a bit frustrating as the oils take some time to dry up , so i can continue with the next filter etc.I am used  to paint quickly with the Tamiya acrylics .There is also too much glow from the fresh oil paint , i guess i ll have to spray a hand of mat varnish at some point, and also the dusting of the legs with some chalk powder will halp to blend everything a bit more.Its all new to me so i am deciding the best way as i go along.

Surprise , surprise, i have lost count of how many Bismarcks i have built so far .

My first Jeff Shiu figure is the SS.Stubaf. Diefenthal, ARDENNES 1944.I spent about 2 hours trying to add the leather belt of the MP 40 and the barrel of the machine gun.The paper in his hand is just very thin folded plastic card which will be painted to look like a map of some sort.I havent decided on the base , but probably will be a patch of either muddy or heavily snowed terrain.
